IISAC’s Trustees and Officials

IISAC’s board of trustees is made up of 7 executive members who are experts in their professional fields. They take administrative key roles and lead the organization within the confinements of its vision, mission and objectives.


  • 1. Prof. Ngan Huang – Chairperson
  • Assistant Professor, Department of Cardiology, Stanford University, California, USA

    As the Chairperson of IISAC, Dr Huang coordinates the educational activities of the organization. She is passionate about guiding students to develop their academic potential by didactic courses and experiential learning. She enjoys motivating young students to pursue the fields of science and engineering through summer research internships, seminars, and other speaking engagements.

    With a doctoral degree in bioengineering, she is also a medical scientist at Stanford University, where she actively studies the role of stem cells and extracellular matrices for applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

  • 2. Prof. Sunny Luke - Program Director
  • Dr. Sunny Luke- an accomplished American Scientist, Professor and International Educationist is proud to call both USA and India as his homes. Being one of the founders of IISAC, he has been guiding American study abroad students and professors through South India for over 15 years. He has traveled extensively both in USA and India and knows what type of cultural experiences the US students are looking for while in India. He encourages American students to develop cross-cultural skills through educational tours, blog writing, reflection papers, cultural exchange and short documentary films.

    With an extensive knowledge of Kerala’s society and culture, Dr.Luke is one of the editors of Introduction to Kerala Studies, a first of its kind inter-disciplinary book on Kerala (www.bookonkerala.com).

    Published by IISAC, this book is used as a reference book by several US universities for their faculty-led and semester in Kerala programs. To his credit, he has more than 70 scientific publications in International Journals of Repute in the areas of Medical Genetics, Molecular Pathology, Human Evolution, Stem Cell Technology and Tissue Engineering.


  • 3. Mr. Alex Koshy - Executive Director
  • Alex V. Koshy is one of the founders of IISAC and its Executive Director. He oversees the administrative activities of IISAC in relation to student’s recruitment, US and Indian university collaborations, Office management including Finance and student visa issues. He also serves as the PRO of IISAC to represent both the print and visual media in USA and India. He holds an Engineering degree [B.E.] from the National Institute of Engineering, Warangal and a Masters degree in Business Management [MBA] from the Cochin University of Science&Technology, Cochin, India.

    As a professional engineer, he worked as the Engineering Manager of Hindustan Insecticides Lid and Maintenance Superintendent of Indian Rare Earths ltd, Alwaye before migrating to USA in 1990 He worked for the City of Newark for over 25 years at different capacities such as Principal Planner Environmental and Fleet Manager of Water & Sewer Utilities Department, City of Newark, New Jersey, USA.

    He was commissioned by the New Jersey State Governor as a Commissioner into the Board of the NJ State Dr. MLK Jr. Commission, to promote the vision and mission of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Former Global President &Founder General Secretary of the World Malayalee Council-a Diaspora organization of people of Kerala, India.

    His professional expertise and community leadership have stood in good stead for him as the Project Coordinator for the successful implementation of the IISAC’s three yearlong project of publishing the Book on Kerala, titled “An Introduction to Kerala Studies.”

  • 4. Dr. Abraham Joseph- Director Global Relations and Social Responsibility projects
  • Dr. Abraham Joseph was a former Chief/Senior Socio-Economic Affairs Adviser, United Nations. In this position he contributed to the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (2000 -2015) and also contributed inputs to the formulation of the United Nations Agenda 2030 on Sustainable Development Goals which was later adopted by the 193 countries in September 2015. He was also the former Special Advisor to the Foreign Minister of Timor-Leste. Currently Dr. Abraham Joseph is serving as the Senior International Strategic Advisor, Public Service Institute of the University of Oklahoma, USA and he is also a Special Advisor to the Educational Training Institute of Oklahoma. To being a think tank in Developmental Economics, he is well known for his initiatives in sustainable developments of Asian and African countries.
  • 5. Mr. Sanoop Luke - Director Youth Empowerment
  • Sanoop Luke leads YouTube’s Family & Learning content in Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia. He serves as a strategic adviser to leading producers, ranging from international TV broadcasters to independent studios to native YouTube creators. Prior to YouTube/Google, Sanoop was with Turner in Atlanta and Hong Kong, where he managed Content Strategy for its Kids & Entertainment channels in Asia-Pacific, including Cartoon Network. He started his career with GE in their Financial Management Program, where he served as an Analyst with NBCU Universal Television in New York and Los Angeles. Sanoop holds BA in Economics from Emory University.

  • Anil Joseph, a professional Civil Engineer with specialization in Air Pollution and Industrial Waste holds a Masters degree in International Business Development from Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, USA. His three decades of professional experience serves multi-dimensional industries across the globe in Design and Development, Clinical Research, Higher Education and Training, Science and Technology, Real Estate Development, Project Management, International Health, Healing and Wellness, Community Economic Development Projects and Socio Charitable causes. Currently he serves as the Director of Indian Affairs, Humanitad Foundation and is the Indian Chapter Chair of the International Tribunal for Natural Justice, United Kingdom. He represents several American, Canadian, European, Australian, Indian Universities and also the CEO of the TRIS Cambridge International School, Kottayam India.
  • 9. Celine Charath - Associate Director, Education Tourism of IISAC
  • In this position she oversees education tourism activities for American Students throughout India and personally conducts excursions in Kerala and North India. American University students learn about the Indian society, culture and history through the tours she organizes. Her warmth, knowledge of the country, dealing with emergencies, leading discussions and debates about India are the reasons for the extra ordinary friendship with American university students. She is a Canadian citizen currently residing in Kottayam. In Canada she worked as a Soft Developer for a considerable number of years. Her hobbies include learning the mystic part of India through Yoga and Meditation, travel, photography, reading books and organizing community activates.
  • 10. Advt Cyriac Thomas - Legal Advisor
  • Attorney Cyriac Thomas has been in legal practice for more than 30 years. Having completed LL.M in first rank, has versatile experience and involvement with academics and corporate management in different capacities as Member of Board of Directors, Senate Member, Board of Trustees, etc in various corporate, financial, academic and Social institutions.

Faculty Directors and Junior Consultants

The Institute has identified and inducted over 100 eminent scientists, professors, engineers and executives in different disciplines to give their services as Faculty Directors and inducted over thirty Junior Consultants to work as Peer Counselors among the High School and College Students. The services of these Faculty Directors and Junior Consultants are free to those who seek guidance from the institute after attending IISAC’s educational seminars.

The Junior Consultants are young professionals working in various fields, providing academic counseling to the High School or Junior College students. They consult and take the advice of the Faculty Directors.

The Faculty Directors give authentic and expert advice on higher education, careers, scholarships, research opportunities as seminar presenters. They also assist the outstanding undergraduate students for getting internships, externships and career placement.
